We had the privilege of heading to Orchardleigh House & Estate in Frome to film the military wedding of Jen and Alex. Every time we turn up to a military wedding it reminds us how much we love capturing them. There’s something about the pristine suits, the attention to detail, the intricacy in what they are wearing, it really excites us to film the day and all the details.
When we arrived Jen was making the finishing touches to her Wedding cake that she made herself, and was just perfecting the final touches ready for the day ahead, pretty impressive making your own cake and such a personal touch to add to the day.

The bridal suite where she got ready at Orchardleigh House is what dreams are made of for any photographer or videographer, with its large windows, open space and four poster bed, its a dream to capture prep shots in.
The ceremony was only a short distance from the venue in Church Of All Saints in Frome, and Alex coped well with his nerves whilst awaiting Jen’s arrival. You’ll see in the video the funny moment when the vicar asked if anyone present had any reason for them not to marry, the best man grabbed his sword in anticipation of anyone objecting, which made the friends and family laugh, and made the vicar question weather anyone was too sacred to come forward.
Even though it was the beginning of January the guests welcome drinks and group photos were able to be done outside, with the sun shining through. This also made for some lovely couples shots in the surrounding grounds of the estate. These two were lovely to work with, they were so in love, very relaxed and just enjoyed energy moment of the day and it really showed in the films we have made for them. We had a fantastic time, and it was a great first wedding of 2020!
